ABS Stability control fail warning
Discussion
Hi,
I had a 4 wheel geometry alginment check done today.
On the way home the ABS light came on and a Traction/Stability control fail warning came up.
I pulled over and checked the ABS sensors thinking maybe the mecdhanic had dislodged one. Couldn't see a problem, got back in the car and when I started her up again all was back to normal.
Is this a common problem, ghost warnings, or should I get it checked out?

This has happened to me a couple of times. It seems to happen when stuck in traffic on the M1! Perhaps heat related? So far it has never happened when I actually need ABS/Traction/Stability. Restarting the engine resets the warnings for me. I think if a single ABS sensor stops sending data then the whole system goes off-line. As the ABS sensors drive the traction and stability system as well then they shut down too.
