Hi all,

I'm Steve a Newbie. I own a '99 XKR and am looking for a big brake upgrade that doesn't have a dealer price tag.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Steve

Thanks,

looks interesting.

I've just fitted 20" Detroits so the old brakes looka little small now.
I see also that Tar-Ox do a 10 pot front brake kit with 340mm discs @ £2100 or 360mm discs @ £2450 which I'm seriouly tempted to get, real stopping power.

I got them off ebay from Chase Tyres.
Excellent service excellent guy, £1900 wheels and 4 new pirelli tyres 255/35/20 Directionales front and 285/30/20 Asimmetricos on the rear. That price includes next day delivery. Totally new and unmarked.

There is another set up for sale by the same guy now here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=28648&item=7921387856&rd=1/

As a guide, I won the auction at £960 and just called a guy named Steve and asked to put tyres on them after the auction. Nice guy very helpful

Hi Steve,

I notice Chase tyres have yet another set of Detroits and Montreal rims on ebay. They are using the same pics, was this the same with you? He must have alot of them from somewhere?

Yes they use the same pictures for all their auctions.
Look back at their feedback items and you'll see the same pictures and descriptions over and over again.

Also the wheels described probably say they have small marks on them, the auction for mine said the same but they were not marked. Call the guy Steve on the mobile number he gives in the auction he's a nice guy and easy to talk to. He can even set you up with tyres fitted.

I also checked around and these are not replicas either, replica Detroit Jaguar wheels do not exist.

Thanx. I am more concerned with them being seconds and possibly sub standard.

Oh well. The last set went for £1300!!!!!
