Folding wing mirrors on a Jag XF

Hi - does anyone know if it is possible to fold the wing mirrors on a Jag XF while the engine is still running? I know they fold when you lock the car, but I am trying to get mine into a tight garage space and need to fold the mirrors to make it easier. I have an XFR but am assuming this applies to any XF. I've checked the book of words but no joy...

On my S type you have to put the button for the power mirrors to the center position, and then press down on the pad.
Try that.

To fold the mirrors as you describe, you have to hold down both the left and right button either side of the mirror toggle momentarily. Also quite handy when you've got a huge lorry coming straight at you in a narrow country lane...

Excellent. Thanks. Worked as you say and XFR now tucked up in the warm for the night! I'll remember the tip for narrow lanes as well.

I know this is an old thread but Man, is Jaguar troubleshooting info HARD to find online. Thank you for that tip on how to fold side mirrors manually. My auto fold wasn't working after a trip to the shop. Pulled the battery. Tried to configure the touch screen to know avail. The only tip i found to toggle the side mirrors was here.

Glad that helped The auto fold only works when you lock the car, all other times as above.
