Do you consider these Autocar figures to be right? 0-60 in 5.3, 0-100 in 12.8, standing 1/4 in 13.8, 155 with limiter, 170 without. On paper the figures are little different to the lighter more powerful new car. Just wonder what you lucky XJR owners think.

Nope... just Norwich. Any BIBs on here keep your cameras away from the M11 on Saturday morning

Now, how do i go about getting that limiter removed? (Purely in the interests of science ofcourse )

The old X300 style XJR was a mighty fast car, but the X350 aluminium body car is devastaingly quick- I don't care what the figures say, there's little comparison! The engine is bigger and the shell is lighter!

I take it that you are lucky enough to have driven both?

Yes, I've driven all of the current and not-so-current Jag range- It's a part of my job- tough job- but someone has to do it!

If there is little comparison, we must assume the figures for the the older car are very optimistic otherwise that would make the new car quicker than the DB9 and in Vanquish territory.
