4 months ago I brought a '99 XKR convertible. What a brilliant car! It's lived up to my every dream.
Recently I had a new battery because after three days of standing the car wouldn't start. Even with the new battery I've noticed the red warning light comes on a lot when starting. And, just after starting the volt meter creeps up to 13 volts but never goes over.
I thought to charge a lead acid battery needed a voltage of 13.8volts.
Should I get the charging circuit/alternator checked out? Or is this normal?
