My XKR was recovered yesterday. Now I am just waiting for my Mondeo to turn up.

The XKR was found in nearby Ellesmere Port, a stones throw from the motorway.

The strange thing is that the neighbours, including some that I went to speak to personally today, said that the car had been parked in different places on the street. I am starting to wonder if the little shits live on that street (or near to it).

The police are completly useless. They wouldn't think to interview a few people on the street to see if anyone saw someone getting into the car.

When I got my car back it was covered in finger print dust. I have taken it through a car wash which got most of it out. There are a few extra light scratches but nothing to worry about, and one of my babies car seats is missing.

I wont be claiming on the insurance as even at £1000 to collect the car and then replace the locks it is cheaper than my insurance will go up if I claim.

Now I need to get the locks changed. In the mean time I have bought other protection. Does anyone know a place this can be done other than the dealer?

Regards
Jeff

Thats great to hear, not that the Police were totally useless, but that you have got your car back. You're probably right about the theives living on that road. Did you have a tracker, or did the cops find it on a drive thru?

Don't know anything about the locks, but an indy surley must be the way to go.

If you've got 4 yrs NCB, there is no reason not to make a claim, thats why you have insuance in the first place?

Good luck.
