Stolen Car

Hi My Car has been stolen.

Last night at between 2:30am and 3:30am, someone broke in through a downstairs window, stole my video camera, wallet, mobile phone, and my two cars

Had a towbar fitted yesterday

2000 (W Reg) Jaguar XKR Coupe
Anthracite (black)
Reg: V80 ROB

OMG! That is terrible. So sorry to hear your pride and joy (with new engine) has been stolen!

Any connection with you getting towbar fitted and a tip off??

Which area are you from?

I'll keep my eyes open. Incidently, an S2000 was taken a few weeks ago, off the drive of the owner, turned out it was parked about 1 mile away, police reckon theives left it there to see if it had a tracker fitted, (i.e. recovered quite quickly)

So maybe worthwhile having alook around the local neighbourhood, behind hedges and the like. Why nick an XKR?

I hope they are both found, intact soon.

Have just joined P/H and this is my first post...what a way to start. Horrendous news JC!
This is the latest MO for the thieving ers! Cars are becoming more difficult to steal, but houses are not. Break into the house, steal the keys and hey presto....
It wont help you now mate, but for all our other readers - some advice. Egg sucking begin!
1. Dont hang your keys up on those nice key racks from B&Q...including the spares. Get a combination key blister or hide them. Check insurance small print, as some policies include this in their limitations.
2. Lock yourselves IN your house at night, leave the door key nearby(not within hooking distance from letterbox!) for emergencies - your presence in the property is not a deterrent!
3. Get Tracker Horizon fitted to your pride and joy. The lesser models are only passive, and most BinB are too streched to listen to "general observations for a STOVEH etc etc...". Horizon targets the exact area and they can direct BinB to it.
4. Consider other physical devices such as security posts. The more difficult you make it, the more chance they will pick on someone less well prepared!
5. If you are photographing your car and posting it on the web for clubs/sale etc, do it away from your Home address at a neutral venue - car park etc

As I said JC, not much comfort to you now. I will keep my eyes peeled and stop any black XK down this way! Best of luck mate.
