XJ220 Spotted......Southport!!!

Driving though the center of Southport on Sat morning with girlfriend. In town for a wedding. I am moaning how it's grim up north. The girlfriend passes me another tissue in a vain attempt to stem my nose bleed which has been in full flow sicne passing the Watford Gap.

Then there she was...........a beautiful racing green 220 cruising down the high street. I have lived and worked in central London for 7 years and never seen one of these on the roads.

Fantastic. I think I'll go back up this weekend.

There was a Classic Car Show on in the park next to Morrisons, so it may have been going there.

This High Street ? Would that be LORD STREET with it's beautiful architecture. If it was high street sounds like you went to wigan and shopped at aldi !

It's not so grim in southport if you can avoid the coffin dodgers who are everywhere.

IMHO the best place to eat on Lord Street is

The Nostalgia Tea Rooms - Find it if you can.

Also, seek out Life's Motors at the rear of Lord street for a nice selection of Morgan cars....

He means that if you stand in the middle of Lord Street by the Scarsbrick Hotel and walk up the pedestrianised street towards the prom, you will come to another street that run paralell to Lord Street and Life's will be found 50 yds to your left.
