It looks like I might be looking for a late model 5.0 XKR shortly, assuming the engine is the same as the Range Rover Sport, is the timing chain/tensioners the same problem to budget for on these?
I'm also coming from TVR and currently looking for a late convertible. Slim pickings at the moment. stumpage said:

I'm also coming from TVR and currently looking for a late convertible. Slim pickings at the moment. I came from a TVR as well but instead of selling* the TVR I kept it and still have it. Both cars are extremely
Reliable and sometime difficult to choose which V8 to take. Usually decided on weather and if my wife is coming with me. Apart from road tax on the XK they cost very little to keep on the road.
Just had the XK serviced and MOTed for £217 plus MOT @£54

Incredible value for money Woosie and when a Jaguar has been maintained or brought up to a certain level , keeping on top of things is so easy to do .
That is exactly what I’m hoping. Hopefully bought well with last owner since 9 months old and a JLR main dealer one year warranty, which will pay dividends for the servicing costs. So a double win of being Top Trumps more powerful than my mates’ Astons with much lower servicing costs :-). Gassing Station | Jaguar | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
