I have got a 2006 sr3 1500cc and in the info manual it states you can check your highest rpm by holding down the data button at the end of a run it also states the last two digits are not shown. I have done this after warming the car up in my garage at idle no reving and the number 147 reads meaning 14700 this cant be possible. Any ideas from other owners what I should do? the system is the standard system thats fitted to the car. Thanks in advance

As you say, can't be right; if it is, it'll only be the once biggrin

Memories of the old style dash are now pretty poor, but surely that has to be the inevitably optimistic maximum speed recorded you're calling up. Have you tried 'toggling' and watching the other windows? That said, I do recollect that the max rpm first two/three figures do appear in the mph window. For some reason, I've got in my head that it might only show max rpm after being allowed to scroll through it's self-test (it's important to let it do that) and then being used under load, but I could be dreaming that.

Others still using the old style dash will be able to fill the gaps in my appalling memory.

Meantime, don't worry wink

1470 sounds more likely. why not warm it up then rev it to 5k and see what the logger says?

laugh You can check by looking for 'road runner' type impressions of things like pistons, rods and sundry bits of engine casing on the inside of the bodywork.

Has anyone ever reset the MBE when the engine got replaced/serviced?
