Nothing at all, but I've heard a few guys gripping about how far away it is for a lot of them and a few seem to think it a bit too dangerous, but that's almost inevitable as the fastest track in the UK? Mind you, a lot seem to think much the same about Combe ........... realise you aren't/won't be one of them, being a CC Specialist and both being real handy proximity-wise.
The track that seems the least favourite by a long way is Pembrey - all that way to go and go through tyres at an extraordinary rate - I guess that was the reason for the relatively pi55 poor turnout this year there.

As you well know, the answer is NO (well not on four wheels).
It isn't a question of me thinking that some of the guys aren't keen at all on either Thruxton or Pembrey (or to a lesser degree CC), that's exactly what they've said to me. Sorry if it doesn't suit your own preferences, but that's life.

Interestingly, I look back at Pembrey as a great weekend, I really enjoyed it. I think I like the double headers for a start as it gives the novice (moi) some time to get to know the track. The weather was great, the location was great and I enjoyed the racing!
Similarly Thruxton. Even though I made my major cockup with cold tyres, I really enjoyed the circuit in testing. It's pretty simple and just a case of getting the lines good, getting the tyres hot (ahem) and holding on!
So we'll have two rounds at Donington in 2011 then.
