Hi again. As per previous posts, I am still going through front splitters every 2-3 trackdays (especially with a passenger in the car) as they keep dragging on the ground - people have suggested it maybe the shocks that are dud and so I will change them anyway. Raising the ride height has helped but would it help if I bought some adjustable push rods so that I can raise the height on those rather than the spring platforms -will this (together with new shocks) ensure the car cannot sag at the front or would raising on push rods do exactly the same as raising it on the spring platforms ??

Cheers

From memory the minimum ride height with ONE occupant for rcaing is 40mm. If you're achieving less than this even with two onboard then there's the problem to start with....
or is that stating the obvious...

i went through my fair share on the prosport... but I did get there towards the end by having them made (I'm assuming you have a mould and make them - or get them off someone other than R) with heavier matting, in particular around the edges at each corner where they suffer the most.

You can also strengthen this area with carefully cut wood and bond into place.. some guys also add supports from the front bodywork onto the top if the splitter body - again to strengthen the actual splitter from deforming and destroying itself on the deck.

I also found using bolts regularly spaced rather than rivets with penny washers to be much stronger - and easier to replace etc...

Thanks, in fact when I bought the car, the previous owner had bonded some wood to the underside of the splitter and that one lasted a long time. May give that a go next time.
