Diff mounting torque settings?

...don't want to do these up too tight
... cos if you do, you'll warp the washers and, more seriously, distort the mounting plates around the slotted holes.I wasn't happy with this arrangement so have replaced the eight plain washers with four 2mm thick steel plates, each with a 5/16" hole at each end. The plates are installed in place of the washers and are arranged horizontally, each picking up two of the diff bolts. The idea is to be able to fully tighten the bolts without distorting the mounting plates. Seems to work
Relative to the OP, might this be handy? >

PS Look carefully as sometimes the Nm equivalent is given in ftlb, other times in inlb!!!!

This year hasn't been the best for me, with too many demands on time and funds, but I'm now very much hoping to make it out on track next year, unless of course Lord Montague takes a shine to what must now be the best preserved Clubsport on the planet!
