And Now For Something Completely Different

Please see the two photos below.
As you will see, one of the thingamyjigs (a C705 apparently) has burnt out - it looks like a simple repair job that even I could do if I 1) knew what it is called and 2) where I could buy one! Logic? It irks me to have chuck away something with say about one thousand components when 999 are working fine because one 10p (?) part has gone AWOL.
There are bound to be people on here that know about these things - I am thinking such as Mr T - and of course we can have a play anyway >
A beer next time we meet for the first to post up what this PCB has come off - only a couple of clues - you almost certainly won't find one on a Radical, because it's 240/250V, not 12V (nor 24V!)

It is a Capacitor, the prossibly identical one "C704" will have the rating, size etc. written on it.
Probably "
Y Class Y1 (X1) - Mains Suppression Y Class Y1 (X1) - Mains Suppression
High Voltage_Disc Ceramic "
try http://uk.rs-online.com
or Maplin.
Is it the power requlator for your garage door opener?

I had a feeling it was called a capacitor, but I didn't want to guess, get it wrong and show my total ignorance of most matters electrical!
I'll have a look at it's bedfellow.
Want to have a punt at the pint?
(We crossed, nope, not the garage door opener - not car related at all)

Angus was right, it's bedfellow does have tiny tiny writing on it (you can see how tiny - middle of the right hand good one on the top photo which looks like a very small staing in the middle!) ....... so out came the max attack magnifying glass and here's what it says >
M D - the M has a circle round it so it may just be the maker?
362K
3KV
06 - that might just be it's date of manufacture?
I measure it's diameter at about 22mm / 3-4mm thick / solder in wire legs about 12mm centres.
Couldn't find that particular ceramic capacitor @ RS and Maplin's site is xxxx (not good)
Anyone any the wiser?
(And the pint's still up for grabs )
