Gents - anyone thinking of making a weekend of Combe and doing Special GTs on the Sunday too?

Superb racing over the weekend all the way through the pack, any comments with regard to noise testing on Friday.

The racing I watched was great fun. Rather have been participating, but hey ho!

Noise testing was standard combe fair. No leeway and 100db. Not great, but it is what it is.

Now strangely, that post sent from my BB ended up in the caterham forum. How strange is that? A message from above?

And on Combe, did Simon win the saturday UK cup race? I was watching and Kaiser was waaaay in the lead. Lost concentration a bit after the driver changes and Simon seemed to have won!

Shouldn't have been a problem at all should it if everyone was using those 98dB extra-quiet exhausts? laugh

From the spectator point of view, I've watched better meetings, but as they say, that's racing.

Indeed, my 98 can actually got me on at combe before, but this time was 102.3 until it had a dongle on. Annoyingly I had left my dongle at home so had to sub Merlin another 60squids.

Strangely most if not all Radicals failed, the comments from the scrutineer still rings in the ears though. "you lot shouldn't be here on a track day anyway". Tested with a calidrated test unit at the truck reading 98db, failed at testing reading 103db.

One of these? >

Assuming so, what did it read with with that on? (and how much were you or were you not 'cheating' on both occassions?) The latter is perhaps a question best answered/topic best aired in the relative privacy of the ROC Forum?

Just goes to show that a (Radical) man and his dingle dangle dongle should never ever be parted.

Incidentally, Simon did indeed win ........... and that stands on the records for eternity; hooray for the privateer in an SR3 up against all those SR8 equipped Big Old Race Teams. Well Done That Man thumbup

That's the one. Test done at 3 yellows which is what the man asks for I believe.
