Clubsport advice needed

Well my dad bought a clubsport quite a few months ago, and we have finally got room in the garage for it now, so we have started work on it.

When it was bought it had a whining/noisy 2nd gear, its got the 1100 in it. I've read about the 2nd gear problems that the engine has, and we have already got the engine out of the car. However, neither me nor my dad have any experience with motorbike engines. So I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how they fixed it. I know the dogs on the gears have probably worn, but i don't know exactly what we need to replace etc.

I've found a thread on a Kawasaki owners forum where someone has repaired his worn gears.

Whilst I personally don't have a clue how to rebuild a Kwacker gearbox (doubtless someone who does will be along shortly - truth be told I would pay someone to do it rather than finding there were a few bits still left in the box when I thought I had finished!), just a quickie to say great to hear that yet another Father & Son Team have ventured into the World of Radical.
