Gents,

Entering a 1hr race this weekend with a 1340cc engined SR3. Have the 54L tank installed. Any idea if I can make the 1hr on a single fill?

Thanks,
Matt

Others will have more experience on this one but when I asked the question some time ago for a 28 minute race it was suggested to allow a litre per minute - SR4 1200. On that advice it sounds a bit tight for one hour on 54 litres.

Should just about do it I recon. My 1340 PR6 is using about 0.75ltrs per min = 45 ltrs per hour, but I guess it depends on the type of track as much will depend on how much foot flat to the floor running you will do.....

Right, I should have mentioned I was looking for a rough guess, as it depends on the track, driver, gearing, tune, etc.

Sounds like Matt should be OK then ....... the only further consideration being the DSL2 Correction Factor? ....... when Darren is really on it (and that's something very special to watch), I doubt anyone is using more welly/drinking more fuel than him, but so far (at least to my eyes as a delighted spectator) such is his absolute superiority this year (what with JW having a pretty laid-back year this year), there's been a lot of races where he's spent several laps when he's just been (relatively speaking) cruising along in comparatively economy mode en route to yet another top step.
