Given the number of posts that there have been (often from potential owners who'd like to start off with trackdays and some street/en route use), I thought this (ex-Darcy Smith) SR4 might be of interest >

Hi Trevor, I replied to a recent email you sent me regarding my comments on xtr2, thanks for that.
Mine is up for sale at about the same price, so if you see any threads or know anyone interested please give me a shout.
You will remember this picture, but here it is for all else to see.

Hi Guy

Saw you had & thanks for that.

That SR4 of yours still looks a real beauty; great Reg Mark too; is it staying with the car? Correct in recollecting that you've had it from new? Either way it's a credit to you Mate.

These guys who have previously expressed a desire to have a road reg Rad that they can still have a load of fun with at a trackday are suddenly spoilt for choice!

So much more interesting and individual than a 7 or it's umpteen derivatives.

wavesport7 - I could well be interested in this - currently looking at a race prepared SR4 that I could make road legal, but this could be the easier route to take.

Where are you based?

I could imagine making a race SR4 road legal owuld be a right royal pain in the backside with the new tests that have to happen. SVA was bad enough!

I'm expecting a call from Radical tomorrow to give me an idea of costs for parts etc. as well as process - will see what they have to say...

BTW - does anyone know this car and can they comment on it? Price looks fairly good to me - http://www.racecarsdirect.com/listing/30662/Radica...

After having several pax laps with Martin in his (road legal) red SR3 on slicks round Spa yesterday, I can thumbup that!

The lateral and front end grip on mid to high speed corners is staggering. Martin could pick the throttle up way before the apex and the car just stuck. I was really expecting to feel the front moving around, but it was rock solid. On a fast-ish lap, we went into Pouhon at just over 90 and came out at over 105. Coming through stavelot, it was a case of grab 4th hard on the gas on the way in and keep it pinned!

As for the brakes coming into La Source and Les Combes.... thumbup

PS Martin, didn't catch your surname, apologies.

Well that's no fun at all. Where's the heroic oversteer when you need it?

Bert
(probably just before the out of control spin!)

Hi Fergus, really nice to talk to you on Monday and hope you get the car sorted soon. How frustrating after all the work you had done. Name on here goes back a while but MartinP on blatchat. Good luck with your quandary about whether to go for a change, I'm sure you'll make the right decision in the end.

Hi Mart; guessed it was you giving shortarse a thrill.

What's with your car Fergus; it all reads a bit 'ominous' yikes Hope Not!

Mart: Fergus knows what the right decision is, it's just a question of which year he goes does what he knows he should do thumbup
