The cost of a gallon of Superglue may not be much less than a new one?

Minding my own business, keeping out of trouble ( allegedly ), taking nothing for granted ( repeatedly ) looking forward to a battle with Chris Blades for invitation class, let others go by at the start to achieve all of the above objectives.....went round the first corner straight into ( literally ) somebody else's accident(s)......bugger !
Result stoved in front corner of my car with probably some mechanical damage in same area.....

Ahh, you were in that fracas. I got away with an excursion onto the grass on the left. Hope it's not too expensive/difficult to sort out.

Just looked at my vid of the start. I think that's you just in front of me. I went by at the start, go off to the left, but your car seems to disappear completely! Were you using your klingon cloaking device??

I put up a 'what happened?' post on this on ROC in the Members Only Forum.

Maybe this sort of stuff is best reviewed/discussed in a less public arena?

Just a thought ........ your call, it's a free country afterall.

PS to FOB: I watched you make your way back up the pit lane after parking up your re-arranged front end and let's just say your body language made it clear that just like quite a few others with heavily wounded wallets, you weren't best impressed and everyone understands why. Gutted for you Mate.

Hi Simon.

Realise that, sorry if you thought I was suggesting you were, I wasn't; I certainly heard it, crunch, crunch, crunch concertina (I'd guess perhaps @ Hall?) and saw the big immediate, subsequent and final resultants and like you, I'd simply like to see it/what kicked it all off; guys like DDR, Hamlet etc etc etc have been bring it home much like it started out for yonks, so certainly something exceptional/unusual happened.

Radical's own report seems to be making some pretty clear suggestions, but they obviously have the benefit of having looked at stuff that we haven't.

I think there's perhaps benefit in lessons that could be learnt, not the blame game - a certain SR3 was well wiped out both ends (that's one heck of a bill) - in order to ascertain everything that can be done to assist it's prevention? If what happened @ OP became the norm we could have half a dozen cars lining up on the grid by the Final Round .......... that would not be good.

Thanks for the well wishes.......I was dejected at getting a bill I didn't deserve....but even more so at being dragged to see the track quack to check that I was OK....I found it very embarrasing to be escorted all the way up the pit lane ( and then trundling back a little later ). I was absolutely fine ...they did a brain scan and found nothing.......so no harm done...
As for the accident...quite philosophical really....the first corners in any race are the most dangerous and just a little love tap ( intentionally or accidenatlly )can end up in carnage.....I look on it as part of what we do ....I also look on it on an annual basis and if that is all that happens then OK...( famous last words )
Cheers all

When I had my "off" at the same place last year in the SR4 during an OSS meeting, I seem to remember the circuit doc was a cracking lass, and well worth the inconvenience of a head examination hehe
