Hi guys,

As some of you know, I am the new owner of a 2007 SR3 (and its up for sale already but thats another story!)

I will be racing it until it sells though and want to get the suspension setup to a good starting point so I can build on it from there. I have got the 2010 manual with the standard factory setup and I also have a 2003 manual, both say different things for practically all settings though so does anybody have a 2007 one I can use for reference?

Alternativly is anybody willing to give me a starting point for a 2007 SR3 (dont expect you to give me your secrets, just a stable starting setup!).

i am after the basics - camber, toe, front and rear.

See you at Oulton!

If I could find where I'd put the bloody PDF on this PC, I'd ask you to ping me an email and I'd email it. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

So(!) from the luckily kept hard copy of the 21/09/06 OM >

Base Factory Dry Set Up >

Front

85mm ride height*
40mm minimum splitter height
55mm minimum diffuser height
0 turns splitter pre-load
6 turns diffuser pre-load
Avo Shock Setting 6/ Intrax centre of range setting
hot tyre pressure 22psi (24-28psi for HD package cars)
spring rate 7" x 300lb
camber -2.5" to 3.5"
toe-in 2mm - 3mm overall (I think they actually mean toe-out)
medium nik-link

Rear

75mm ride height*
0 turns pre-load
6 turns diffuser pre-load
Avo Shock Setting 8/ Intrax centre of range setting
hot tyre pressure 22psi (24-28psi for HD package cars)
spring rate 7" x 350lb
camber -2" to -3"
toe-in 2mm - 3mm overall (I think they actually mean that this time)
medium nik-link

  • Measure the ride height at the front of the chassis and at the seat back bulkhead (below rollover bar) with the driver seated and three gallons of fuel in the tank.

Thanks Trevor!!!!

I am bound to be 3 seconds slower at Oulton now I am playing with the car, but got to start
somewhere!

Will you be there? - what number are you? - forgive my ignorance as I was in a daze at Rockingham and despite meeting loads of people I cannot remember most of them!

Welcome.

I'm aiming to be there on the Monday watching you QC Guys N Gals getting stuck into one another (and getting lumbered with doing the copy for the report that'll appear on The ROC as a thank you!)

I'll come say hello!

Have a good one!
