Fuel Question ??
Discussion
In reading the SR3 RS manual,it says that in the UK, the recommended fuel for the 1500CC motor is either Super unleaded 98 or 100 octane race fuel. Is the Octane rating in the UK RON or MON or the average of the 2 ((R+M)/2) ??
Secondly, What are the blokes running the 1500CC in the clubman series running for fuel ??
TIA

The control fuel is Sunoco R MR which (in the UK) is 100 RON and 89 MON.

Over here, we mainly use RON (Research Octane Number) as the description for pump fuel.
This page link may help you to convert to sufficient accuracy 'our RON' to 'your' much more sensible MON, AKI, RdON etc >

Aside from the Sunoco control race fuels, many of us Rad Owners over here with stroker engines (and indeed, a lot that have the standard capacity Busa motors) seem to tend to use Shell V Power, which in it's latest UK Spec formulation is 99 of our RONs.
By the way, in the SR3 RS Manual, I'd wager that there's a typo in there; that (as it was with the 1299 K7) the 1340 K8 should actually say minimum of 95 of our RONs. I'll check that down with Radical.

Thanks for all the great informations guys. I am new to the Radical having just gotten my SR3 here in Canada 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately where I am, they are out of the racing fuel I would use until mid June and my first race is at the beginning of June. I am just looking into my options and wanted to be sure I will be running the proper range fuel.
