I'm refurbing some Clubsport bodywork and am thinking of finishing it as per the orange/tangerine colour used on Clubsports and Propsports.

Anyone know the colour code?

Might be scratchchin ...and if I paint my Clubsport this glorious hue, I too will be unbeatable at Combe!

If you Google Earth Combe, you'll find big lumps of orange stuff everywhere.

Flymo Tangerine, I think it's called. smile

Dunno!

We had a (Formula Renault/A1 GP) 'hot shoe' doing some work with the C 'Johnny' S Speads at Snett, on Tuesday, so I've been a bit busy writing cheques. Maybe that's it.

Very interesting though. You'd be amazed! smile

Well I decided against orange (a decision largely inspired by the lack of a colour code!) and went for the same blue (Ultramarine, colour code RAL5002) as my existing bodywork.

Here's how the sidepods look now:-

I told the guy that did the spraying that I didn't want to pay a show-car price. That said, apart from where gel-coat cracks at attachment points show through, the result is not half bad.

For those interested, the paint system recomended by paint supplier, based on the use of Max-Meyer paint products, was as follows

- Primer: Ecophos Primer 6020 "...a 2K chromate-free self-etching primer"

- Undercoat: Top Filler HS "...a high-build 2K acrylic primer-filler"

- Top Coat: Duralit Car: "...a 2K acrylic base for solid colours"

...as you can see then, not very orange! tongue out
