On Sunday I had the bottom "bolt" of the suspension break on my Clubsport. The long one that goes right through the bottom of the upright to attach both sides of bottom wishbone. Luckily the resulting spin was at an open corner with good run off at the Ingliston sprint andnot next weekend at the tree lined Fintray Hill Climb!

First I should point it out that this is no refection on Radical as my car is Number 006 (no my name is not Patrick McGoohan) and as such is about 12 years old!

I just thought I should let people add this to the increasing things to keep an eye on as these cars get older.

On another front, is mine the oldest Radical in regular use or indeed in competition?

In the same area it's worth checking the lower section of the upright where this bolt goes through for cracks, I found what looked to be slight scratch in the paint which was actually a hairline crack (penetrating right through the metal) which continued round a large portion of the upright including round the angles.

Worth having a check if you dont already smile

Sorry to disappoint, but a ROC Member is still merrily turning the wheels of Clubsport Chassis No 1.

"Old Age"? - We should both have been low 28's Mr Libre. I suspect this may be the last or penultimate season for yours truly (well in C1 anyway)

See you in Sept. when you come up to take your Sat. Golspie record back...or not

Cheers
