sorry to use you guys so much,have just changed engine oil in my rad its a 1100 kawasaki,do i just start it or should i remove plugs and crank it over first? dave.

For peace of mind, get some pressure up first... Then again, if you warmed the engine before you changed the oil then you should be ok to start her up. If you let her sit idle all winter and didn't warm before changing then seeing some pressure would be good.

Plugs out and wind it over for about 10 - 15 seconds then leave it a minute same again, doubt you will see any pressure on the dash it will fill the oil gallerys, plugs back in and fire it up, and have a worrying couple of seconds waiting for the pressure on the dash to move.....

did all that then went to start it no go just fired a couple of times then nothing,a mate said put a hot air gun in the airbox its very cold,well bu!!er me off she went oil up to 55psi on tick over,alls well and i am happy again,thanks to all for input,dave.
