Clubsport Engine Removal

Hi Guys,
The last time I took my engine out I removed the link from the chain as I thought that relinking it would be easy..Doh anyway does anyone have an easy alternative to enable the engine to be removed...

Hi Scott - I slackened off the eight bolts on the diff and pushed the unit forwards
so that I could remove the chain from the front sprocket. You may need to remove
the sprocket cover plate if you have one?

Thanks Tim, I wasn't sure if there was enough space around the front sprocket to allow the chain to come off of the teeth i do have the larger 16 tooth sprocket, I have already removed the cover so may as well give it a go, if not I can always remove the front sprocket.

I'd say it's much easier to split the chain than try to remove the front sprocket, do you the proper tool for splitting the chain maybe that's the issue!!!

Yes as usual the issue is not having the proper tool, that can also be said for the sporcket removal which also require's a special tool... although last time I managed with a long rod and a hammer
