SR4 dashboard/warning light problems

My SR4 started to shows signs of unreliable readouts on the digital dash board panel last year. These then 'cured' themselves intermittently. Now the latest problem is that the water temperature light comes on way too early or won't go out when cold. Indicated water temperature is over reading and oil temperature read out appears to be under reading. What's the logical and economic approach to nailing this problem?
