Clubsport Running Temperature
Discussion
Can anyone advise what the normal running temperature is for a Clubsport.
I notice a differance between Temperature indicated on the Dash and that measured from my own calibrated gauge. The dash reading is 8 degree's higher.
On a calibrated probe I'm measurnig 65 degree in the swirl pot / header and 90 degree when nserting into the pipe next to where the dash sensor is located....the dash is reading 98 degree's. Is there a way to calibrate a sendor to the dash or do I just accept that the dash is "Indiator Only"?
I checked my probe by inserting it into boiling kettle so I'm certain the difference is on the car sendor / dash.
Final question - what is the set point for the High Temperature Warning Switch / Red Light on the dash.

the normal running temperature of the clubsport should be around 75 to 85 degrees.
the best thing i can suggest you try first, is put your probe and the sensor out of the engine, into the kettle. extend the wire and add an earth to the side of the sensor to keep it connected to the cars dash. then boil the kettle and see if they are reading the same.
there is no option available for calibrating the dash, so a new sensor may be required.
the high temp warning light on the old clubsport dash, should come on at 100 degrees. hope this helps.
