It is with much regret I had a call from Angus Loughran, Charles brother this evening. Charles passed away at 5.30pm after a very short fight against cancer. Charles was one of the nicest guys I have ever met, I feel privelged to have known him as a mate for the past 2 years. He was a true gentleman, an aggressive racer and also a funny, funny bloke. He died at 43 years old, leaving a wife and 8 year child. My thoughts and I'm sure every radical racers thoughts are with his family right now.

For those who wish to celebrate his life the funeral will be next Wednesday at 2.30pm in Manchester, details to follow. If you would like to email Angus with any stories of your racing moments with Charles please do so at angusloughran@hotmail.com.

Today is a very sad day for all of us who knew Charles. Rest in Peace mate.

Gary - that is awful news.

I didn't know Charles personally but Josh and I have seen him race a number of times
and he was always fantastic to watch. Deepest sympathies to his family and friends.
