Hans Device for SR3

can anyone advise which is the best fit Hans device for an SR3 seat. Is it 20deg or 30deg rake

A couple of years back I asked the same question of a bloke who was getting out of one after a race: 30 degree.

Bugger - personally I was hoping to use my 20 degreee which was perfect in my Caterham.

I've not got around to testing yet but is 30 degree the general opinion?

Give Amanda @ Radical a ring; if she doesn't know, she'll certainly find out. Without wishing to get your hopes up, notwithstanding that it conflicts with what Nick was told (and that's firsthand whereas mine is a recollection), I actually recollect 20 degrees for a Radical.

Sorry to have raised your hopes Geoff, but as you've got a Clubbie, I'd still put a call into Amanda / Ben to make sure yours needs to be the same angle as an SR3.

the clubsport seat is as reclined as any single-seater, so must be at least the 30 deg, possibly the ultra expensive 40

I use a 30 degree Hans with my Clubsport. I found I had to fit some new shoulder belt mounts to get the correct anchor spacing to make it work correctly.

Great new HANS last year for the Caterham and now need 30Degree for the Rad - I'd figured that the shoulder strap mounts needed to be changed - interested in how you did yours Martin?

I welded some new bosses into the chassis tube, identical to the original ones, just closer together.
