Racing Balaclavas....
Discussion
New style super soft with v flat seams & ice white colour rather than the manky looking nomex yellowy jobs!
They all start white you just need to wash more Darren!!
I had a new one couple of months ago from GPR an OMP one that was the one they said was the best flat seams etc and best of all they gave it me as i was buying other stuff.
Hi Dave
The reason a lot are pi55 white is that this is Nomex fabric's natural colour.
Most manufacturers now offer colours in addition to Natural (eg OMP do Optical White - which is a lot whiter a white - Red, Blue and Black, as do Sabelt, as do Sparco, but Alpinestars do just Black or White), but the trouble is, Natural often justs get called White. Not that the 'he must be a dirty beggar' lemonade colour worries me ............ I never seen anyone do anything other than remove it asap, cos everyone looks a bit of a dick in a balaclava after the helmet's been taken off!
Will & I use Sparcos BTW and ours have proved comfortable enough over upto fours hours driving on a Trackday.
The only thing I'd recommend is a slot type rather than the eye holes one; probably not as protective, but with those, it's much easier to adjust to suit .......... sometimes I have my nose covered, other times not.

This is the one I bought from Demon Tweeks- SPA1481 Code on receipt.
Ask for Dave Kimberly at DT, tell him I put you in touch & he will look after you on the price too.

Oh yeah of little faith! Must be a generic entry on the DT site.

Like I said, not convinced that the colour makes that much difference to the overall aesthetic effect ! ........................

I'm thinking probably black next time round ......... better still if they made it in Barely Visible Shadow Grey?
