Snetterton As It Used To Be

I really like Snetterton as it is today, but this is how I remember it as a lad. Real scary, real fast (I recollect it vyed with Silverstone as the fastest circuit in the UK) and easily the most dangerous in an age when motorsport was generally way more dangerous than it is now ......... the drivers used to flick out the butts of their fags when they saw the bloke with the start flag climbing up the gantry steps. Yep, really.
You got a really good view of the sheer terror in the drivers' eyes when you sat in the Hairpin Grandstand.
