Interesting cove, fuel consumption.
Running at Brands in the freezing cold, in the pouring rain, last November, we were getting 0.88 litres per minute from my standard R1.
Later that day, a little bit warmer, drying - and six seconds a lap faster – we were getting 0.54 litres per minute.
Why? Because it was so cold in the morning that we couldn’t get any heat into the engine and – we presume – the automatic ‘choke’ was still on.
Just some food for thought.

At race pace round Combe, my 1100 Clubsport used about 12 to 13 litres of fuel for 14 racing laps, warm up, green flag lap and cool down lap. This normally left me with about the right amount in the tank having filled it with 15 litres.
Will you be racing it at Combe next year?
