SR3 Front Damper Free Length
Discussion
Experts,
I have an SR3 with originally fitted Koni 2812 dampers. I want to upgrade to the adjustable push rods in the front to allow me to run preload in the front suspension. I had previously done this on my Prosport, and needed to have the dampers shortened to ensure the bell crank doesn't interfere with the chassis. My initial experiments with the SR3 indicate I'll need to do the same again.
What is the free length of the front dampers required to properly align everything while running some pre load in the front?
Easier question: Can someone with an SR3 that was factory delivered with adjustable push rods in the front measure the free length of their front dampers?
I've asked the question of Radical as well, and when I get the answer I'll post here.
Thanks
Matt
