Reckon Wise Mr T is onto that ......... get the difference, add it to the known weight of his SR3 and hey presto ......... actual weight of an SR5 !

Honda K20A = 110kg
Hewland box = ~25kg

Hayabusa = 75kg

So in theory the SR5 will be at least 60kg heavier

Edit: forgot the quaiffe diff on the SR3, that has to be about 15kg so you that would mean its nearer 45kg heavier

Doubtless a number of blokes on here will know and tell ........ but irrespective, you should get it corner weighted for your weight with a known quantity of fuel on board and that way it'll both handle sweet and you'll know for sure.

As to being an EEC Outcast, you're just trying to making us all jealous ... and succeeding biggrin

As far as I understand an SR5 is approx. 625kg. This includes all liquids but just 3l of fuel. Car is race prepared for the Radical European Masters.

Cheers

The Clubsports that BESCR weighed (post race, on the scales in parc ferme at Brands)have been 450 and 457, so if your 'Clubbie' comes in at 430, you've got a nice light car.

Do they have wider wheels (tyres) or any other additional weight adding items though (aero)? Mine weighed well under 450Kg but I have removed some unwanted stuff from it since owning it, mainly electronics.

Just making a suggestion smile

Dunc.

Mine is Clubsport Chassis No6 and was over 450Kg even after removing the counter balance (so-called electric reverse motor) and all the electronic control boxes, fire extinguisher etc.

I expect the dry sump cars are a bit heavier with the extra tank and oil capacity.

It's a funny thing, weight.

I have good experience of two (seemingly identical) cars that are 30kg apart!

It's amazing how extra wire, brackets, bolts, 'plod' in bodywork and assorted 'stuff' can add up.

Knowing one of the Clubsports quite well, I think 450kg is about right but...(well, see above).
