Over £8k raised, sure Martin must have done a K of that...he didn't stop once we got over the wheel nut problem (I'll let him explain that one)

Martin stopping for yet another bacon butty biggrin - http://chrisharrison.smugmug.com/Motorsport/Superc...

Me with Martin in the passenger seat having a breather from his car http://chrisharrison.smugmug.com/Motorsport/Superc...

Took three hours, four broken 1/2" drive bits and a 900Nm impact gun to get one of them loosened eek

Martin stopping for yet another bacon butty biggrin - http://chrisharrison.smugmug.com/Motorsport/Superc... If you loook closely it looks like it's a four seater that's sprung an extra axle and roll bar

Me with Martin in the passenger seat having a breather from his car http://chrisharrison.smugmug.com/Motorsport/Superc... That was some few laps thanks Rob clap message to self to be more committed, brake later and harder and use all of the track and more of the kerbs smile. Simples yes

Couldn't have said it better myself. Almost first and last, just snuck into the noise test queue lurking in front of the dark side Datsun.

Can't be sure but suspect it may well be. There was an extremely valuable (> £1m) Ferrari there last year so it may well be the same one.

That sort of torque is used to secure major bits of structural steelwork, supporting many tonnes! How come your nuts were so tight, so to speak? hehe

Change wheels tighten to 250ft lbs, track session, re-tighten because at least one will be loose, track session, re-tighten because at least one will be loose blah, blah, blah. Eventually they'll stay tight until you change wheels again. Could have been a little over this time but there is also the effect of the binding of the conical mating surface on the back of the nut with the same on the wheel. Not saying it was 900Nm, that was the rating of the impact gun, but even with that it didn't come free straight away eek

Well done all of you. 8K is a tidy amount. Enjoyed the pictures, shame I wasnt there.

I was down at Silverstone on Saturday for the endurance race with a good show of Radical numbers.
