Removing SR3 Cockpit Section
Discussion
To me, this depends almost entirely on how the little insert piece below the roll hoop. This must be removed to get the cockpit section to clear the roll hoop. Mine is installed with blind nut plates and hex (allen) head bolts. Takes about 5 minutes to remove all of the bolts and a further 5 minutes to remove the center section. Re-intalls in about 15 minutes. A mates car has the removable piece held in place by pop rivets, and takes considerably longer coming off and going back on.
Other than that, the hose clamp on the filler neck can be a little fiddly, but not too terrible.

its a serious pain in my opinion.
as has already been stated earlier, the infill section needs to be removed first. mine were and are pop rivetted on to each other.
you need to take off the font body work section, rear and undoo the clips the long front, rear and centre sections of the side pod off.
when this is done try and ease the front end of the cockpit section up a little to see what is hanging up. oh don't forget the fire extinguisher release cable, rear lighting harness and fuel filler tube.
when nothing is stopping the section from lifting ( and the foam strip sealer can stick the underside of teh cockpit to the chassis at this point.
then its time to hope (and you will need 2 people to hope) lift the front up slightly and get somebody to push on the roll hoop section towards the front of the car. the bodywork and the roll hoop have a very snug fit and it has to be coaxed out.
good luck and keep an eye on the section of the cockpit that is behind the driver compartment as it as flimsy and F****.
good luck. i needed it, alot
