anybody know what to do to layup a engine for the winter, thanks dave.

Rather than go through a lay-up process, probably better to fire it up once a month and get it up to operating temps. If you can jack the back up and run it through the gears, all the better.

Providing garage stays above freezing point and is well enough ventilated, completely agree; but if it's going to remain to all intents and purposes static for weeks and weeks on end, I would put it up on axle stands on all four corners; that also makes it easy to run it up and down through the gears.

Its a Jap bike engine, throw it in the garage and don't worry about it. Come spring put a splash of petrol in it and off it'll go biggrin
