Let's start this afresh?

The thread I started ("Clubsport Engines") has now gone enormously 'lateral' - about trick engines that are as much about how deep your pockets are as anything else, none of which is really about the wellbeing of the likes of Boots & Co, who I regard as the backbone of Radical Racing; guys competing on a strict budget and on a level playing field with virtually identical machinery; where they finish at the end of the race (innocent victim punt-offs barring) is mainly down to their ability on the day as a driver; guys 'n gals who keep doing it through thick & thin, even when they only get half points because their numbers are few.

I for one would like to see these guys 'n gals not only survive, but actually thrive; giving guys 'n gals the opportunity of being able to start out in cars as affordable as they ever can be; some will find it's not for them, whereas others might well prove to be the next JW, who knows perhaps even the next MS?

Let's hear it for the Backbone Brigade; it has to be non-tuned engines, but maybe it's time for a bit more breadth engine choice-wise?
