Just received the following from Amanda. I won't be there, but it looks like a lot of racing in a day! Clubsports v SR8s!

To All prospective CROFT Competitors

I received an email yesterday from RMA Trackdays reminding all competitors to book their trackday early as their offices will be closed from Monday 10th August.

If you are planing to be at the Croft event (Saturday 22nd August) or just want to book the trackday for a day of serious fun with your Radical please contact RMA asap. www.rmatrackdays.com

Radical Spares department will be in attendence with a selection of spares - if there is anything in particular you know you will need for this meeting please contact Simon or Ben in the Spares department to pre-order.

Powertec will also be in attendence.

Re: Extra race at Croft.
I am meeting with David Cartwright tonight to go through the "supplementary regs" to cover this extra race which will be available at Croft.
The Race will be titled "The Radical Double Thirty" and is essentially a two part race, each part being 30 minutes. Any Radical produced car will be eligible to race with a special "Invitation" class being introduced to cover cars that are non-championship spec (this includes cars that do not have Powertec sealed engines).

We would envisage that any SR8's that would like to race would be placed in the "Tuned" class (unless there are enough to make their own class).

Trophies will be presented to 1st, 2nd & 3rd overall PLUS 1st, 2nd & 3rd in class.

Race Entry Fee will be set at £300 - a bargain - I think you will agree, for 60 minutes of racing action. Max grid is 32 so entries will be accepted on a first come first served basis.

The timetable is as follows (note: the championship races are timetabled before the Double Thirty so that no-one is compromised on their championship points and any competitor not taking part in the Double Thirty does not have to 'hang-around' for the extra race)

Croft - 22 August 2009
Sign-On 07:45
Scrutineer in situ 08:00
Qualify 09:30 - 09:45
Race 1 11:45
Race 2 14:20
Double-Thirty 16:35 (30mins + 10min break + 30 mins)

TV
Fantastic news - the TV that would have been on the UK Cup Championship at Croft is going to be transferred across to the Radical Double Thirty! Therefore I am asking for volunteers for being the camera carrying cars - I will need two cars in the Club Cup race and two cars in the Radical Double Thirty.

More good news - all the Motors TV coverage (see previous emails) WILL include footage/coverage of the Radical Club Cup

Spread the news - if you know of anyone who has a Radical car and a race licence and would like to join us at Croft, please let them know about this extra race!

Will anyone interested in joining the Radical Double Thirty or whose name does not appear on the attached Croft Entry List please contact me asap?

Thank you

Best regards
