Mounting Rear Rain Light - SR4
Discussion
I had an Sr4 before the current PR6.I obtained ( cheaply ) two of the cylindrical rain lights and with a bit of jiggery pokery ( woodwork that is ) sunk them into the existing rain light housings, and of course behind the lens. If I did it again I would cut a hole to suit in the exisisting lens and glue/silicone the rainlight on to it. That would mean that the rain light was not obstructed by the lens and I didn't have to keep explaining my diy to the ( sometimes ) observant scrutineers.
Alterantively screw one of the rectangular ones dead centre on the fibreglass or make a small aluminuium bracket to screw to fibreglass and support new light. Hope that helps......its peeing down here in peterborough nad I'm just leaving for a track day at Snett tomorrow 25th July - anybody else ?

If you want to fit a separate additional rain light centrally (as ever providing I can find it), I've got some German stuff that you could use to fix it without doing any drilling; best to describe it as nuclear grade Velcro, except that male and female parts are the same and actually mechanically lock together; you need a screwdriver to tease them apart when joined! Like Velcro, pre-applied adhesive backed to fix to surfaces to be joined. The Germans use it to hold up stuff that us Brits would normally get out the drill, plugs and screws for .......................!
Let me know.

Thanks David, Trevor.
I need to think it through, on the one hand we have Gary stating that it should be ok to use the normal lights provided that they are of the correct rating and David who had to alter the lights to suit. I'll look over the car and see what options there are for mounting the rain lights in place of the light units or possibly next to them.

Being a circuit racer, you'll enjoy a circular thread ............ what stuff do Radical use?PS And what do they use it for?
PPS Have a great day tomorrow at Snet ........... we'd have been there for sure if Will hadn't spotted an opportunity to earn some money .............. long way to tow a trailer on my own. Darn

Thanks Gary, I was starting to lean towards the main lights being an option. I've seen some Radicals with the extra light centrally mounted and know Darren (DSL) on here replied to another post on this subject suggesting he fitted one.
Are you going to be racing at Silverstone?
No - next race is the BRSCC meeting at Oulton Park. Shaun entered into the BESCR, and I'm in the OSSAre you going to be racing at Silverstone?
