Hi Alan - I'm pretty sure that I have a few spares. What width rim are you looking for?

Hi Alan - I will have to check. I think all of mine are all 7.5".

I will let you know

This is going to sound absolutely stupid but from what I measure (I've got both), 7.5" Image 3 piecers are the same effective width as 8" Compo CXR casts. wobble

Tim, I measured my wheel with the tyre on so there may be a chance I got it wrong. Will check the wheel again and confirm size.

I contacted Harry @ Image about this and he tells me that they (as all manufacturers should) express the width of their wheels (e.g. 8x13) from the actual width of the tyre seat area (albeit with the spun rims this could be 2-3mm wider). The 1/2" width of the centre (usually 'sandwiched' but not always) is included within that overall dimension.

Never assume the width or offset of a wheel, just because it is said to be for example, the OEM spec & supplied wide option front say off a Prosport. Always check each wheel individually and as an axle set to make sure they are actually a matched pair; some Customers (I am not talking about just Radical owning Customers) do have their own preferences regarding the widths and offsets; if someone finds they have three piece Image wheels 1/2" wider than normal that were made that way from new (be aware that there are a number of what appear to be 100% Image wheels which have been rebuilt but not by Image - they can tell instantly, but we can't most of the time), they must have been ordered that way, with the Customer telling Image where they wanted the extra accommodated. That personalised tweaking hasn't happened for a while, but he recollects in particular that the SR4 that had a lot of different width and offset specs in it's early days.
