More paddle shift

Did the brands hatch radical round today. My car has been back to the factory to fix the paddle shift that wouldnt change down only up. Great if you have 379 forward gears (about 10 per lap) but no good if you only have 6!

Left the pit lane for qualifying with some trepidation chaging up as i went pulled the paddle to change down and.......it worked!!!

and it continued to work all race and didnt miss a single up or down shift

turns out it was a bad earth, so credit where credit is due i now have a race car, qualifed sixth behind the uber engine cars and got up to fourth before a puncture took me out

Great news that Radical sorted it out for you Barry. Never tried the paddle shift system myself, but if it works reliably its got to be quicker to race with.

What spec engine do you have in your car ?

You looked quick enough already at Brands on Saturday Darren, very close to Jonathan in race 2 and a great drive through the pack in race 1.

Cheers Nick, was pleased to be able to stay close(ish) to Jonathan, just wish I had gone for a 1500cc motor this year myself!

my engine is a "standard" 1500 i did a 47.9 with a good driver, new tyres and a clear track must be capable of a mid 46.

i am a big fan of paddle shifts it means you can change up flat which means more time on the throttle and quicker shifts got to be worth half a second a lap and the car is easier to drive because you have more time.

It looks like you need to come up to cadwell this wekend then to enjoy it some more!!

Or are you still going to be incapacitated?
