Forward facing roll bars

My car does not have forward facing roll bars, its a early car and i have noted quite a few like it.

Plan to drill the cockpit body panel and fabricate a pair from scratch as dont want to pay £2000 + for replacement cockpit panel/bars etc

Front ones are ok as i can feel the mounts, its the rears im struggling with, can see from photos its in the middle of the curve, its the vertical position i cant get to

Is there any chance somebody can take a measurement on there car from the head rest mounting screw ( M6 ) to the centre line of the spigot that potrudes out of the bodywork ?

Also a OD of the bar tube would help

Paul i would imagine you have done this already, but have you tried to get in and out of a car fitted with the forward facing items?

its a lot harder than without the bars.

i know you are doing it for safety!
