Are the fitting dimensions 'borrowed' from any production cars... Ford Sierra, etc.? Just that my brakes are looking a bit tatty and thought I might look at a few other brands.

Hi Rob

Almost certainly setting myself up for stupid question of the day award, but here goes anyway! >

As mine just say 'Radical' on the face, how do I know whose actual calipers we have on our SR4?

Does it help to say they look very high quality? > both front and rear, kind of an anthracite colour (looks to be anodising rather than paint), with proper inscribed 'Radical' - recollect highlighted in black; they aren't available for firsthand viewing/checking right at the mo!

Cheers smile

Sounds like from your description you have the HiSpec calipers

They should be HiSpec. Some of the calipers you are describing also had HiSpec machined into the other side of it.

Hi all,

Just treated myself to a set of floating disks and Hi Spec (Radical) calipers which arrived this morning
after Mr T pointed out that my crappy Wilwoods were "creaking" when under load!!

Looks like Radical have reduced the upgrade price to £907.00 per end (+ VAT) too!

Can anyone offer any suggestions on the following:

1. Best choice of pads?
2. What to do with the rear brakes when the fronts have been upgraded?

Thanks

Tim

Performance Friction 01 pads for the front and rear, speak to Tech Craft Motorsport for the best prices. Job done.

Personally I always found the rear over braked on the clubsport so I would leave them as is.

Great to see Radical reducing the upgrade brake price so quickly after I pointed out to them last week that adding up the constituent parts of the kits I got £945.40 + Vat per set ,vrs the upgrade kit price of £1124.80+VAT !!!

Driveshafts the same, you can buy them cheaper in component form than as a whole ... doh!

I find Radical's spare parts pricing to be farcical!

I appreciate they're in it to make money, but I think they are pretty damn greedy!
