Prosport suspension setup - data logging plug??

When the car is on stands is it normal for the road springs to be loose and fall away from the shocks?
I was hoping to set the front suspension with some spring preload but because the wishbone carries down to the end of the shock absorber travel, the springs are slack and the adjusters are at the end of there travel.
Is this normal or do I need something else like longer springs? The springs currently fitted are 6 inch.
It also looks like the car is fitted with data logging as it has a socket located on the NS wall going into the side pod. Is this correct? If so, where can I get the software and lead so I can download the information?
