My car is the White Clubsport that he overtake's and then fall's back behind after an off at Quarry.. Doh!

It's interesting to note that his corner speeds are exactly the same as my latest according to my data logger... but his acceleration and top end is far superior 150 upto avon rise compared to my 135.. he's not that brave on the brake's though into quarry..

No I'd agree with that.. I would have thought you should be able to go flat through folly? even if you needed to go out wider on the exit and sweep back for avon rise.. apparently 1.01 is possible in an SR8..

Guys,

You seem to be a tad over critical?

idea Perhaps you should post your latest efforts for public scrutiny?

Scott, re the corner speeds, you mentioned this at Combe last week and whist you may right that the lowest data point speeds may be similar would it be better to compare total corner speed from Turn in to exit? You could also look at lat and long G, plot at a G cirle.

LOL ... hello Mr Kettle biggrinbiggrin

If you put stuff up for the world to see you should expect to hear the good and bad imho. Hell, for me being told where I am going wrong is part of how I learn to improve. And believe me I've been told a lot in the past smile

Simon,
I am sorry if it came across like that it was not meant to.. I was mearly trying to make some comparrisons... and yes I also agree that his apex approach speed and obviously (due to power) his exit speeds are much quicker... I need to work on approach speed as at least this is not govenered by power.

All credit to the guy for having the round things to post his efforts for all to see, warts 'n all.

As I understand it, it's his first season with an SR8 and Castle Coombe Special GT can hardly be the best/easiest place to build up tracktime in an unfamiliar car, particularly one that is best suited to long, open and very fast circuits.

Despite his lack of experience, I see that he posted the second fastest lap time.

Who posted the fastest time? Well Done Mr Tilling!

Having met Manhal this season, he's a really decent bloke, trying to learn how to drive an SR8, which, as I'm finding out is very different to any other Radical. So, I'm with Simon on this one, give the guy a break, and save the comments until the end of the season when he's had a chance to get to grips with the thing.
