Have intermitent fault with origional dash, one min its ok then next no display.

What make and model of ecu did Radiacl fit as standard with Powertech Busas.

Mine is tucked away behind the dry sump tank, cant see any markingngs.

I am looking for a wiring diagram of above or does any one identify the outputs for the various rpm lights, mostly interested in the 10-10.5k one.

my busa prosport has the DTA ECU fitted, although i am running on flat slide carbs.. so may be different if you have one running injection ?

you sure its ECU and not the actual dash unit ?? radical certainly did have the dash unit as a clearance item for the last while - could be an option to test another one first ?

On reflection it is probably the dash as the motor runs perfectly.

Is there is there a test one can do on the dash? ... when I power up it lights up and the rev lamps go through a cycle but as soon as it fires up there is nothing.

Oil and neutral lamps work ok.

Problem is that the car was bought as is so I have no previous experience of the car to compare against.

It is a 1500 on flat slides.

As well as the rev lights, the test cycle involves a multiple digital countdown - takes about 5 seconds from memory - despite the fact that I've sat in the car watching it all many times, as I'm sat here at work can't be sure quite what happens when and in what order - does yours do this? - want me to check mine tonight? Certainly sounds like a dash rather than ECU fault - who knows (fingers crossed) maybe just a dodgy wiring connection.

Edit : If it looks like this one (Radical Shop, Clearance Items, LH0030) then at £119 + VAT & DEL) compared to the more complicated one on mine (on a 2004 SR4) not only is it a relative bargain (jeez, hope mine never goes wrong!), seems to me that offering to look at mine isn't actually going to help you much, if at all.

Got similar problem.

Prosport with 1500cc Powertec

Dash board seems to operate fine and goes through the count down sequence and all the warning lights operate correctly. However, the rev lights do not work. Have tried an another dash unit, same fault, took the feed from the PI (Rev) and bridged it to the dash, no change.

Have connected the Mini dash and it shows RPM up to 2.0 then goes to 0.0.

Getting pretty fustrated now, have used Simon's wiring diagrams for the Prosport (Kawasaki) and SR3 (1500) but still no joy.

If there is anyone out there that can help, please....

I have sloved the problem ... well sort of....

I discovered that with the engine running if I diconect then imediatley remake the 12 volt supply it works fine.

I have now instaled a switch on the dash which I flick off/on after starting..... works every time and cheaper than relacing the dash.

Not sure if it will solve your probs but it's worth five minutes work.

I like this lateral solution, well done !

I think it's a bit like laying in bed at the weekend when you keep near automatically hitting the snooze button, then eventually, the better half's patience runs out and then comes the clarion call

shout WAKE UP YOU LAZY SXD !

That's what you're doing to those reluctant LEDs I reckon. Maybe they'll get the message and eventually wake up themselves.
