Hayabusa Gearbox Repair - Glasgow
Discussion
Hi guys,
Can anyone recommend a garage (or mechanic) in the glasgow area who could carry out a gearbox repair on a dry sumped busa?
Having a problem with the car not engagine neutral - seems to be overlapping with a driven gear, either grinds or tries to drive off..
I'm assuming at the moment that this will need the engine removed.
thanks for any help
Ken

Thanks Guys,
I've been trolling through old threads on the WSCC and XTR forums and am starting to agree that there's a good chance of there being a problem with the gear selector system, apparently the selector return spring can jump off the return maul so that the car only changes down....
Unfortunately in the XTR getting to the selector means oil and coolant drain down, removal of the reverse gear system and removal of the clutch slave cylinder (all with very limited access).
I'm planning to pop into my local bike dealer this weekend to ask for some advice before I start to see if they agree with my diagnosis
