Are you doing the Radical clubmans cup this season? If so are you running in the SR3 1500 class or the tuned class?

Hi Darren I am doing a few of the rounds; Donnington, Combe and Snett

Regards

Simon

Given it's now 1600 I don't think I'd get away with running in the 1500 class, shame smile

That's a biggy then......

Loads of guys run the full house 1600 Busa's on the short duration hillclimbs, but am surprised they hang together ok for sustained racing, certainly should have plenty of grunt out of the corners!

I think you will find the 1396cc PR6 will fail to meet the present BESCAR power to weight criteria unless you happen to weight 20 stone too!

KR INFO RECEIVED FROM BESCR-

Hi guys,

having spoken with some of you this week, it appears we have come up with a format that will work for the bigger cc Pr6's and some other modified cars that fall outside our standard class structure.

As you know we have to this point capped our PWR figures to 320BHP per tonne actual. Both Iain and I under estimated the developments of the 08-09 closed season and the further leaps in power that were in the offing.

To that end we have agreed the following to accommodate you guys as best we can whilst NOT alienating our other drivers.

1. we will offer you selected BESCR rounds at the bigger circuits this season, These circuits have been chosen to give everyone room to race.

2. we have selected 4 meetings at which we'll run an open INVITATIONAL class to accommodate you guys. Of course we hope to be able to capture data from you guys and incorporate this in our thoughts for the 2010 season.

Silvestone International: 11-12th April
Cadwell Park: 13th June
Oulton Park International: 15th August
Snetterton: 24-25th October

All 65 minutes of track time and all two race meetings. Two single day and two, two day meetings.

I've attached a spread sheet with an offer to you on these meetings.

In order to run this invitational class, Iain and I really need a commitment from you guys in order to insert the class. To that end, if you'd like to join us, please let me know ASAP how many of these meetings you'd like to do and which ones.

The sooner I can have this information, the sooner we can confirm everything and get it in place.

Of course, we appreciate that things unavoidably change in season. So we'll undertake to refund pro rata (depending on meetings cancelled and completed) any unused entry fees.

I've also attached a registration form and entry form for you to complete and return. Please write INVITE in the class area of the registration form.

If you have any questions, pleas contact me on 07712897409 or email me on jp@facet-ltd.com this week.

Many thanks

JP

couldn't have put it better myself!?

KR, fact is the sr3 weighs a small house more than a PR6. AND its running a funny box of cogs not a chain so it gets a big power sap right there.

We set the BESCR format up (albeit with a class missing by the looks of it!) to avoid issues of capacity in an 'open' race format. So you in a PR 6 can scrap with an SR3 on a level field.

We've done what we can at this stage by offering an invite class to address the cars that fall outside our PWR bands whilst trying to do so in a way that doesn't destory the racing for everyone else. Hence offering the crcuits where we feel there's room for everyone to race and not trip each other up.

Upshot is, come and play at Silverstone and it'll give Iain and I more data to use to work all this out. We always stated BESCR was a long term deal that we'd need to tweek as things progressed. As I stated in the email above, it looks like we underestmiated this winters development jump, so yep, we are playing catch up a bit.

Still, we are a better proposition for everyone than:
750 (where you can't run over 1300),
OSS (where you'll be out against turbo'd Jade's and lord knows what other time warp devices)
MSVR (where you could be out against just about anything that turns up)

Fact is BESCR is focused on Bike engined normally aspirated cars, Iain and I are committed idiots that love these things (Iain will be racing with you all season) and as such we want to get it right. This will take time...but we will get there.

Support it now and we'll make it happen that much quicker.

THIS IS NOT AN ADVERT!
