I don't have the spring clip thingy for the reverser to hold the ball bearings in and can't seem to get one.

I'm trying to get an alternative solution, but in the meantime, if anyone has one they don't need, or knows where I could get hold of one, I'd be very grateful!

Thanks
Bert

dunno Rob, think it needs to be quite springy and not easily deformed. Rick the fabricator was stumped.

I wouldn't bother getting the reverse in a working state as it won't work or i should say move the car, what racing are you doing as i think radical clubman, bescr won't be paying that much attention to the reverse it's 750mc that might!!!

mixture of club cup, bescr and probably MSV. So if it's fitted, but makes no perceptable movement to the car, it should still be ok JP?

whats the best approach with the reverse - other than throw it in the bin !

best to actually use it occassionally to make sure it works ?? or never use it in the hope you never have to ??

mine works (knocks on wood) currently, and i'd like to keep it that way - a) for regs and b) cos its quite handy to know its there......

Reminds me of donkey's years ago when late at night a mate with one of those no reverse front opening three wheelers (was it a Trojan or a Heinkel?) pulled into the far corner of a service area car park for a (save the effort of walking into the building) ten second pee break; parked up nose up against a wall ............took quite a while to capture someone's attention to his dilemna ............ yep, you've guessed it a coachload of gals on their way back from a works day out @ Blackpool.
